To empower our local communities so they can actively participate
in the socioeconomic future of Southern Africa.
We realise it…
By providing support and access to basic education and child care, skills development
and community-based development initiatives.
On the ground
Through creating professional and sustainable partnerships
between community, commerce & conservation.
Who we are
We at More Community Trust are a non-profit organisation whose core objective is to provide meaningful support for our local communities.
Projects undertaken are all self-sustainable, as our belief is that by enriching communities to contribute their own effort and skill, projects are kept alive into the future. Each member of the community has a role to play, and in so doing inspires a secured pride, responsibility, accountability and happiness in community members.
Leadership of the More Community Trust include representatives from the community, an independent financial adviser and a More family representative. The More family and their associated companies cover the administrative costs of the Trust so that only 7.5% of the donors’ funds are used for this purpose. This therefore ensures that 92.5% of all donations received land up in the hands of the identified and approved beneficiary projects.
What we do
Our Impact, 2015
Between 2002 and the end of 2015, 850 young learners have graduated from HENNA Pre-school.
These children would never have left home without HENNA…
Fresh vegetables supplied to 278 families from the HENNA Pre-school, and 78 families from NEW BEGINNINGS DAY CARE.
Generous donors have facilitated self-sustaining vegetable gardens for both projects.
65 000 litres
FRESH WATER PER WEEK
400 community members have access to fresh, running water thanks to sponsors who drilled a borehole at NEW BEGINNINGS Day Care Centre.
HENNA was also equipped with flushing toilets – the first for many in this community.

Pack for a Purpose
Pack for a Purpose has facilitated a direct bridge between our small piece of Africa, and the rest of the world. Thanks to them, hundreds of our guests from around the world have arrived on safari with more than just dreams. Their suitcases have been packed to the brim with basic yet necessary supplies as listed on the Pack for a Purpose site, which have had an exponential impact on the lives of the very young recipients at the receiving end. Click here to read more about how you can get involved.
